Short description:

The Review: Ole Hjorth (born 1930) and Bosse Larsson (born 1941) come together to make this long awaited duet CD. They continue two of Sweden's strongest fiddle traditions, having been taught by Hjort Anders Olsson (1865-1952) and Viksta Lasse Larsson (1897-1983) respectively. Bosse's teacher, Viksta Lasse Larsson had been a pupil of the great Dalarna fiddler Hjort Anders and later, Ole Hjorth also became captivated by Hjort Anders' music. The tunes on this CD come fromViksta Lasse, Hjort Anders and traditional Uppland tunes plus some own compositions. Includes lovely renditions of 'Min levnads afton' and the driving 'Näckpolska'. Ole Hjorth has recorded five other Giga Cds including a solo album and duets with Päkkos Gustaf, Sven Ahlbäck and Jonny Soling respectively. Key words:
