Short description: The infectious sega sound of Marseille's Creole culture.

The Review: The Group Jagdish & Kréol Konexyon is 6 musicians whose roots are thoroughly immersed in the Creole culture of the Indian Ocean (Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Reunion). They play traditional music - the Sega - a rhythm originating in Eastern Africa. During the long period of colonisation, the union of African songs and rhythms with western culture and music gave birth to the Sega, Maloya, Moutia and Salegue all found today throughout the Indian Ocean.

A whole side of the immigrant Creole community in Marseille can be found in the repertoire of Jagdish & Kréol Konexyon who sing in Creole and French on an electro-acoustic base.

Front man and initiator of the group Jagdish Kinnoo shows us a touch of the Marseille Sega sound.

Exîlé features members of La Talvera on about half the tracks and, of course, many members of Jagdish & Kréol Konexyon are performers with the Massilia Sound System. Key words: Exile
