The Review: Trained at Berklee and tried and tested in projects uniting the sounds of Afro-Cuban jazz with an exquisite classical training, Jon stands out for his sense of well-tempered rhythmic harmony and a collection of widely varying original tracks: from flamenco jazz to Bud Powell's piano solo. A band, perfectly harmonised even in the quickest tracks, does the rest, with the always surprising Santi Ibarretxe deserving a special mention for his work on the alto sax and flute. Key words:
