The Review: This CD is part of the Cinq Plančtes series - an out of standards collection dedicated to exceptional musicians. The sleeve notes say "The whistling wizard from Andhra Pradesh" and "India's Papageno". But that is pretty accurate. K Sivaprasad whistles Carnatic classical music. It is, perhaps to westerners, curious, amusing and novel. It is, once you've listened to it, quite hypnotic. Here he is accompanied by violin, percussion and jew's harp. Key words:
