The Review: This CD is part of the Cinq Planètes series - an out of standards collection dedicated to exceptional musicians. Hurdy Gurdy. Marc Anthony is passionately involved in traditional French Music, particularly that of the Auvergne and the Limousin. He is a founder member of the group Café Chabons and of the Compagnie Chez Bousca. Many regions of France had, an in some cases still have, their own traditional playing styles, which are almost always related to dance. Marc Anthony does not pretend to present examples of these styles or even of the Hurdy Gurdy repertoire. However, in order to capture the spirit of such pieces he has seleted only traditional melodies or dances which fall within the scope of such playing. Key words:
