Short description:
The Review: He is a founding member of Groupa, flagship of the new Swedish folkmusic. He plays the fiddle in the Nordan-project, the worldwide success that has brought Swedish folkmusic to faraway places like Istanbul, Cairo and New York. He is one of the innovators on the Swedish folkmusic scene and one of its foremost players. On his new solo-CD, fiddle and accordionplayer Mats Edén has returned to his roots, to the fiddlemusic of his native Värmland, a county in the west of Sweden, bordering to Norway. Of the thirty tracks on Läckerbiten only one is written by Mats, the rest collected from various sources like Swedish Songs and own travels. The 20-page illustrated booklet contains English notes to all the tunes as well as an introduction to the material from Mats Edén. Key words: EDEN
