Twenty years ago two young men, in search of their roots, released an album with tunes from Värmland. Their names; Mats Edén and Leif Stinnerbom. They later became the founding members of Groupa, an important band on the Swedish folkmusic scene (still going strong). Today two other young men prove that the tradition is alive. Their names are Magnus Stinnerbom and Daniel Sandén-Warg. Two young fiddlers coming on like Jimi Hendrix in their attitude towards the old tunes. And yes, Magnus is the son of Leif Stinnerbom. The Varmlandspolska is alive and kicking in the hands of these two young and able fiddlers.
