He cites Mats Eden and Anders Rosen as key influences when he first became interested in Swedish folk music. He went onto to train as a Swedish violin maker in the Italian tradition, but has a deep interest in instruments from all over the world. He plays them and remakes them, exploring his fascination for sound and voicings and this CD shows how he can take the fiddle, moraharpa and bagpipes to great effect within the Swedish folk genre. He is joined by Göran 'Freddy' Fredriksson on guitar and bouzouki, with whom he has collaborated for over 20 years, and Leo Svensson on cello.

He breathes new life into traditional melodies by his own inimitable and sometimes outlandish approach to harmonies and voicings, which only complements the music even further.
