Sean-nós ('in the manner of yore' or 'in the old style') is ireland's oldest musical tradition and one of the earliest musical traditions in Europe. Consisting of an unaccompanied song, in which words and music are of equal importance. It is still performed to this day in the Gaeltacht (Irish speaking districts) of ireland.
